| Fun Snack Ideas | If you are like me you will enjoy making these snacks just as much as your child will enjoy eating them. Some of the snacks were from when I was little; some were given to me and some I just came up with. Enjoy
Ants on a Log:
A fun and healthy snack! Cut celery in desired lengths, fill the center with peanut butter, add raisins on top and enjoy.
Bite Size Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches:
Instead of using a regular size loaf of bread, use a small loaf of bread. Once you sliced the bread, spread the peanut butter and jelly and watch them disappear. Perfect for little hands!
Ladybug Apple:
First slice an apple in half; remove the core. For the ladybug wings spread the peanut butter over the apple skin. For the ladybug spots place raisins on the peanut butter. For the ladybug antennas add pretzels with raisins on top. For more fun use different colored apples.
Oh Mr. Sun:
For this fun snack you will need 2 Ritz crackers, peanut butter, a slice of cheddar cheese, and some baby carrots. First spread some peanut butter on one of the cracker. Place the tip of each carrot (nine or more) in the peanut butter circling the edge of the cracker. Cut a piece of cheese to fit on top of the other cracker. Put the cracker with the cheese on the cracker with the carrots.
The Hungry Caterpillar:
So that the grapes do not roll around, spread some peanut butter or cream cheese on the bottom of each grape. For the bottom row, line up 4 grapes with a small space in between each grape. For the top row, place 3 grapes over the spaces of the bottom. Use peanut butter covered pretzels for the antennas. Add a piece of lettuce for fun!
Banana Parfait:
For this parfait you will need a frozen banana, yogurt (any flavor) and granola or fruit. Mix a frozen banana, with enough milk or yogurt (not to much because you don‘t want to take away from the banana flavor.), in a blender until creamy. Next, layer the ingredients in a cup. Starting with the yogurt on the bottom, add the banana cream, then the granola or fruit on top. Try this:
Add little chunks of apple to tuna for a delicious tuna fish sandwich.
Add cream cheese to graham crackers. Yum!
